New York State single payer bill reintroduced

in State Senate,

Assembly bill may be reintroduced as early as this week

Let’s continue the success of our state campaign: last year we doubled the number of co-sponsors on the Senate bill to 14 (32 to pass) and racked up 69 co-sponsors in the Assembly (76 to pass).
Contact your state legislators TODAY and ask for their support for the New York Health bill, S2078 in the Senate and A7860 in the Assembly (Assembly bill number is from last session).
Just follow these simple steps:
1) Find out who your legislators are at www.votesmart.org
2) Find out if they are already sponsors in the Senate or the Assembly (last session)
3) Call their office (Assembly switchboard 518-455-4100, Senate switchboard 518-455-2800) and follow the suggested scripts here
4) Let us know how it went! Email us at organizing@pnhpnymetro.org
Upcoming: February 14-22 Week of In-District Meetings On Valentine’s Day, PNHP-NY Metro and allies will launch a week of in-district meetings with legislators when they are back in their home districts. Attend or help organize a meeting! Contact organizing@pnhpnymetro.org
… and HR 676, the national single payer bill, will be reintroduced in the next few weeks!
