CALL TO ACTION: THIS WEEKEND IN ALBANY!

CALL TO ACTION: THIS WEEKEND IN ALBANY!

This is it. Now is the time. We need you. Don’t stall, don’t hesitate, don’t wait. Just show up: if you’ve been to Albany a zillion times, or if you’ve never been to Albany before, this is the one. Governor Cuomo has repeatedly leaked his intention to frack New York State, most recently to CBS news. New Yorkers have some feelings about this, which they intend to convey in person. You should come. It’s going to be big fun.

Get all the info at Don’t Frack New York.
March and rally: Monday, August 27th, at 11am.
Workshops and NVDA training: weekend of August 25th and 26th.

Details are being updated daily at Don’t Frack New York; buses are being filled; exciting speakers and panels are coming together. Grassroots leaders from affected areas will lead workshops and speak at the rally along with Bill McKibbon, Josh Fox, and Debra Winger. Street theater and mock actions are planned along the march route, which includes a stop at our favorite government agency, the DEC.

At the end, Sandra Steingraber will lead us as we recite the Pledge to resist fracking out loud. Don’t miss this!

Get on Board the No Frack Caravan!

Start the action before the action! Local activists have initiated the No Frack Caravan–No matter where you’re starting from, join up all along the route to Albany: Fracktivists from all corners of the state will decorate their vehicles with signs and banners, and form a joyous, colorful and noisy parade into Albany to announce their arrival! The caravan will grow as it proceeds along Route 20, I-88 and the Thruway! Get the details here. Plan to arrive in Albany in time for the 11am Rally.
